During your studies, you can use an ING student account. When you finish, it'll be automatically converted into a regular current account as part of our orange package (Oranjepakket). You can find the current package costs under package pricing. If you'd rather have your account converted straight away, ask for a employee in a chat.

If you don't bank online yet, you can apply for internet banking.
Banking online means you can check your balance, keep track of transactions and send money no matter where you are.
You can also bank online using our app, which you can download for free. And if you don't have a debit card, you can request one online.

With it, you'll be able to view your statements and send money online. That's why you won't receive any paper statements. If you like, you can request paper statements – but do note this comes at an additional cost. If you don't have My ING, you'll receive paper statements by post.
Your student credit card will be converted to a regular credit card with the same spending limit. Because a credit card isn't part of our orange package, you'll be charged a separate fee. Your credit card itself won't be replaced, so you can keep using the one you have.
If you have a student overdraft, it'll be converted to an arranged overdraft for former students. Balance aside, your limit will stay the same. Should your income decrease, it may be wise to reduce your limit or cancel your arranged overdraft altogether.

No DUO income is being deposited into the Student Account.
There is no statement available indicating that you are still studying at an educational institution.
From the age of 30, it is no longer possible to use a Student Account.

Still studying? Then you can switch your account back to a student account. Please note: we can't refund the Orange Package fees. You are responsible for confirming once a year that you are still studying.
