It makes switching to another bank easier and ensures that all your payments continue smoothly.</p><ul><li>You can use the switch service if you want to convert your current account to a new or existing current account at another bank.</li><li>The switch service can only be requested if both the old and the new bank account are Dutch Current Accounts from a <a href=\"http://www.overstapservice.nl/deelnemende-banken/\">participating bank</a>. This service is not possible with foreign accounts. </li><li>The switch service runs for 13 months and then stops automatically. The debits and credits on your old account will no longer be forwarded to your current account at ING.</li><li>The account must not already be in the process of being closed when the switch service is requested. The start date is between two weeks and three months after your application.</li><li>Do you pay your bills via direct debit? Then we will pass on your new account number to these companies. You don&apos;t have to worry about this yourself.</li><li>All debits and credits will be forwarded to your new ING account for 13 months.</li><li>We will place &apos;IVSB&apos; followed by the BIC code (What is <a data-type=\"internal\" href=\"/zakelijk/betalen/internationaal-betalingsverkeer/wat-is-bic-en-iban\">BIC code</a>) of the old bank on the debits and credits that still go through your old account. You can replenish it by making a payment from the new account to the old account or by depositing cash at a Geldmaat.
