We will keep the remaining balance for you until you request it. No interest is paid on this amount.

* The legal representatives of an organization are registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK). This registration specifies who is authorized to act on behalf of the organization. It also indicates whether a single person may sign the form independently, or whether multiple representatives must jointly approve the request to retrieve the remaining balance.
** The account where you want the balance transferred to, must be in the same name as the account that has been closed or in the name of the legal representative of the entity holding the closed account.
*** If the entity has been liquidated, we’ll need an entitlement statement showing that you’re entitled to the remaining balance (rechthebbendenverklaring). If the entity still exists but is not registered with the chamber of commerce, we’ll need the latest articles of association or minutes showing that you’re authorised.

We handle your personal data carefully and in accordance with the guidelines – see our Privacy Statement for more information. At the same time, you can also take your own measures to protect your personal data.
Before paying out your remaining balance, we’ll ask for a copy (certified when necessary), scan or photo of your ID – but not all the information on it will be needed by ING. So in this specific case, you’re allowed to make certain details on the copy illegible, such as your citizen service number (BSN) and your photo. Your signature and your ID number must remain clearly legible.
Finally, you’re also allowed to place a watermark on the copy, scan or photo of your ID. That’s easy to do with the CopyID app provided by the Dutch government. A watermark does not replace the need for a certification. If we have requested a certified ID, we still require this to process your request.

Take pictures of the form and the required documents or scan them. You will receive our response by e-mail within 10 working days.
If it`s not possible for you to send the documents by e-mail, you can send them by post. You’ll find the addresses for sending them from the Netherlands and from abroad below. Once we have received your documents by post, we will respond by post within 10 working days.
* We’ll check whether your signature on the form matches the signature registered with ING and/or the signature on the copy of your ID. We don’t accept digital signatures for this purpose.
