This is based on the IBAN number. If we indicate the name does not match the entered account number and money is sent anyway, ING cannot be held liable if the money ends up with the wrong person or company. If we indicate the name matches the entered account number and the money still ends up with the wrong person or company, you can ask ING for a refund.</li><li>In the Netherlands, transactions made in Euros are processed within seconds, 24/7. Is ING allowed to pass on (rising) costs directly to customers?</strong><br />We are allowed to change our fees. One of the reasons for doing so is rising costs, as stated in the terms and conditions. We must, however, inform customers of these changes personally and in good time. For personal customers, that means two months in advance. Digital customers will receive a personal message in the ING app and My ING. Non-digital customers will receive a letter.</p><p><strong>2. What can I do if I don’t agree with the changes to the fees?</strong><br />If you do not accept the changes, you can close the account(s) or cancel your credit card free of charge and without having to give notice. Go to <a href=\"https://www.ing.nl/particulier/klantenservice/bankzaken-beginnen-of-beeindigen/opzeggen\">ing.nl/opzeggen</a> to find out how. Another option is considering a package change. Why is the price increase different for each package?</strong><br />We offer different packages, each containing various products and services that also have individual costs (such as a credit card, paper statements, or an additional debit card).
