The following rules apply to payments to Russia:</p><ul><li>Account number and name</li><li>The beneficiary&apos;s account number has 20 digits.</li><li>Enter the first name, surname and father&apos;s name, written out in full.</li><li>If the beneficiary has an account with ING Eurasia and the beneficiary is a bank, you should enter the account number and name of the ultimate beneficiary in the description field. You’ll enter this information after the VO code.</li></ul><p><strong>Payments in RUB*</strong></p><ul><li>A BIK code is required for payments in RUB.</li><li>Enter the BIK code in the appropriate field (not to be confused with the BIC). The BIK code is a nine-digit registration number with the Russian Central Bank. For payments in RUB, providing a BIC is optional but recommended.</li><li>*Due to the <a href=\"https://www.ing.nl/de-ing/over-de-ing/situatie-oekraine/index.html\">situation in Ukraine</a>, we no longer carry out transactions in Russian roubles (RUB).</li></ul><p><strong>Payment description </strong></p><ul><li>The first line in the description should start with a ‘VO code’ (VOxxxxx). That will be followed by the description of the payment.</li><li>The VO code is a five-digit code preceded by the letters ‘VO’. This code gives the purpose of the payment. The supplier must state the VO code and VO description on the invoice.</li><li>After the VO code, you’ll need to enter the VO description to state the reason for the payment. This may refer, for example, to the goods, services or investments provided.</li><li>After the VO description, provide a specific description of the payment in English or Russian.
