Google Pay lets you make contactless payments with your Android device using a digital version of your debit or credit card. Simply hold your device near the payment terminal and confirm the payment with your fingerprint, facial recognition, or passcode to check out quickly and securely. Google Pay works in most places where contactless payments are accepted.

In order to activate Google Pay and use it for payments, ING will share your name, address and phone number with Google. Google will compare this information with the contact information you use for your Google Account. They do this to prevent possible fraud.
If you pay with Google Pay, Google will receive your payment information from Mastercard and Visa. This includes the date and time of the payment. But also the amount and name of the store where you paid.
Once you have activated Google Pay, Google is responsible for keeping your personal data safe and any use of it is subject to the Google Privacy Statement. Want to change your Google Pay privacy preferences? This can be done via Google's privacy check.

To successfully exchange this data, hold your phone no more than 10 cm from the payment terminal.

For young people aged 16 and 17, the limit is €250 per day. You cannot change the limit of your digital debit card.
The standard limit of your physical debit card is € 1,500 which you can change yourself.
