In order to activate Google Pay and use it for payments, ING will share your name, address and phone number with Google. Google will compare this information with the contact information you use for your Google Account. They do this to prevent possible fraud.
If you pay with Google Pay, Google will receive your payment information from Mastercard and Visa. This includes the date and time of the payment. But also the amount and name of the store where you paid.
Once you have activated Google Pay, Google is responsible for keeping your personal data safe and any use of it is subject to the Google Privacy Statement. Want to change your Google Pay privacy preferences? This can be done via Google's privacy check.

You cannot use Google Pay:
It is possible to remove mobile payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Garmin Pay) from a specific device, e.g. phone or watch. This applies to all mobile payment cards (VPay, Maestro, Visa Debit and Debit Mastercard). You can easily remove a mobile debit card from the wallet with which you have connected to your ING Debit Card.
Do you want to remove mobile payments from your watch? You do this via the watch app on your mobile phone.
Delete Google Pay
The card has been permanently removed from your wallet. The transaction history is no longer visible in the wallet after deletion. You can reactivate your debit/ credit card for Google Pay at any time.

Then you don’t need a card number to activate Google Pay. To activate Google Pay, simply start in the ING App:

Then your card number is printed on your ING debit card. Want to activate Google Pay? Start in the ING App:
If you want to activate your Visa or Mastercard debit card for mobile payments directly from Google Wallet, verification in the ING App is always required.
Please check the status of your debit card. If your Visa/Mastercard debit card is blocked, it will not appear in the list of available cards.
Unblock your card first. Once unblocked, it will reappear in the list and you’ll be able to activate it for Google Pay.
