Before you start, make sure your browser accepts all cookies. If you use Safari, check if the 'prevent tracking' feature is switched off.
1. Request online or in the mobile banking app
Online: In My ING, you can request a personalised debit card online. Log in and follow the steps to replace your debit card with a personalised one. In step 3, ‘Your new debit card’, select ‘Personalised card’.
In the app: Select ‘Service’ at the bottom right of the screen. Then select 'Your cards' and choose the card you'd like to replace. Then select 'Replace card'.
2. Choose an image
Upload a picture of your own or select an image from our gallery.
If you've selected to use an image of your own, please make sure it meets our criteria. View the terms and conditions here (PDF, in Dutch).
3. Accept the terms
After you've accepted the terms and conditions, choose whether to keep your current PIN. You should also review the other details and submit your debit card replacement request.
4.We send your debit card
We'll review your submitted image. If it's approved, you'll receive your personalised debit card in the post. It should arrive within 5 business days after your request.
If your submitted picture does not meet the criteria, we'll reject it, and your replacement request will be cancelled. You can keep using your current debit card, or you can request a personalised card with a different picture. Please review our terms and conditions first.
"},"title":"I have a Maestro Debit Card: what if my image is rejected?"},{"richBody":{"value":"If the picture you submitted does not meet the criteria, the application for the physical card will be rejected. When this happens, you will receive an inbox message and no new physical card will be sent.
You can still request a new physical card by replacing your card again. Make sure to select the reason “I want a different type of card”. Only with this option can you upload a different picture or switch back to a standard debit card.
If you do not change the image, your request will be rejected again.
You can activate Apple Pay or Google Pay immediately for your new card. This allows you to continue paying in stores and online, even if you have not yet received a new physical card
