If you can&apos;t get things sorted or if you can&apos;t reach them, our refund service is here to help.</p><p>You can use our refund service if:</p><ul><li>your credit card or platinum card has been wrongfully charged;</li><li>it&apos;s been 30 days since your card was charged, and you still haven’t received your purchase;</li><li>the product you ordered is fake or was delivered incorrectly;</li><li>it&apos;s been 15 days since the seller promised a refund, and you still haven’t received your money;</li><li>when withdrawing cash at an ATM, you didn&apos;t receive enough cash or any cash at all; or</li><li>you subscribed to something without realising it, and your credit card has been charged.</li></ul>"}},{"componentType":"accordion","accordionList":[{"title":"You cannot use our refund service if:","richBody":{"value":"<ul><li>your credit card purchases have been lost, stolen or damaged. In that case, use your purchase protection insurance instead. If something happened to your purchase, report it to customer service by calling 020 22 888 88;</li><li>you’re unhappy with a service that you received;</li><li>this concerns the transfer of funds to an investment account (including crypto currency);</li><li>you made a donation on a crowdfunding platform; or</li><li>you didn’t pay the seller directly, for instance if you paid with Western Union or PayPal.</li></ul>"}},{"title":"Can I also use the refund service for a pre-authorisation?","richBody":{"value":"<p>No, refunds can only be given for amounts charged to your credit card. Credit card pre-authorisations cannot be refunded.</p><p><br />A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of a payment on your credit card that is waiting to be finalised and can no longer be cancelled. The pre-authorised amount is deducted from (debit) or added to (credit) your available credit card balance. This can happen if you order something online or put down a deposit when hiring a car. It can take up to 21 days for a credit card pre-authorisation to be processed or cleared from your transactions. Pre-authorisations are not included in the monthly amount collected by ING. Much more convenient.</span></span></span></p>"}}]},{"componentType":"sectionTitle","title":"Good to know about the refund service"},{"componentType":"paragraph","richBody":{"value":"<ul><li>You can only request a refund for actual charges made to your credit card – not for pre-authorisations.</li><li>Make sure that you request your refund within 120 days after your credit card was charged.</li><li>We&apos;ll need proof you&apos;ve contacted the seller and what their response was.</li></ul><p>You can also use the refund service to get refunded for a charge made to your positive balance. A positive balance is when you make an extra credit card payment from your current account to raise your card limit.
