If you want to view recent transactions that are not yet on the statement, go to your credit card overview to view them.</p>"},"title":"How it works"},{"componentType":"paragraph","richBody":{"value":"<ul><li><strong>Annual fee:</strong> If you just got a new credit card, you’ll always see ‘Annual fee’ as your first transaction. This is what you pay every year for your credit card. You’ll pay this fee at the start of your annual billing cycle; it’ll be charged automatically.</li><li><strong>Pre-authorisation:</strong> A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of a payment on your credit card that is still waiting to be finalised and can no longer be cancelled. The pre-authorised amount is deducted from (debit) or added to (credit) your available credit card balance. This can happen if you order something online or put down a deposit when hiring a car. It can take up to 21 days for a credit card pre-authorisation to be processed or cleared from your transactions. Pre-authorisations are not included in the monthly amount collected by ING.</li></ul><p><strong>Please note: </strong>Only the merchant can cancel a pre-authorisation.</p>"},"title":"Transactions in your credit card overview"},{"componentType":"sectionTitle","title":"What do you see on your account statement?"},{"componentType":"paragraph","richBody":{"value":"<p>If you made transactions with your ING credit card in the past month, the <a href=\"https://www.ing.nl/en/personal/payments/creditcards/credit-card-due-date\">outstanding amount will be automatically debited</a> from the account on which you applied for the credit card.</p><p>The description of the credit card direct debit includes the following information:</p><ul><li><strong>Account number</strong>: This is the ING contract number to which your credit card (and any additional cards) is linked.</li><li><strong>Period</strong>: This indicates the month during which the expenses with your credit card were made.</li></ul><p>The period for the Credit Card covers transactions from the 4th day of a calendar month to the 3rd day of the following calendar month. The period for the Platinum Card covers transactions from the 5th day of the calendar month to the 4th day of the following calendar month.</p><p>We have listed the <a data-type=\"internal\" href=\"/en/personal/payments/creditcards/credit-card-due-date\">monthly debit dates</a> for the Credit Card and the Platinum Card for you. This can be confusing, but it is quite common. You can try to find more information by searching for the company name or the transaction description. This often gives you more details about where the payment came from.</p><p><strong>Please note: </strong>the <a href=\"https://www.ing.nl/en/personal/payments/rates/credit-cards\">annual costs</a> of your credit card are charged to your credit card once a year.</p><p>Did something go wrong when you paid with your credit card? Maybe your credit card was wrongfully charged, or the product you ordered was never delivered.
