You can make payments worldwide at over 35 million locations, wherever you see the Mastercard logo</li><li>In shops, a credit card works in the same way as your debit card. You can pay small amounts quickly and easily using contactless payment. This also works with Apple Pay and Google Pay. For larger amounts or if you have reached your limit, you must authorise the payment with your PIN.</li><li>For online purchases, you use the credit card number and the Card Validation Code (CVC). Here are a few key points to note:</p><p><strong>Paying in currencies other than the euro (the exchange rate surcharge)</strong><br />Paying by credit card in euros is free in countries where the euro is the currency. However, if you wish to pay with your credit card in a foreign currency, you will be charged a so-called ‘exchange rate surcharge’ with the ING Credit Card More and ING Credit Card Extra (from €1,000). This means that the exchange rate is increased by 2.00% per transaction. With the ING Credit Card Max, payments in other currencies are made without an exchange rate surcharge.</p><p><strong>Withdrawing cash with a credit card?</strong><br />If you wish to withdraw cash from an ATM using your credit card, you will be charged 4% of the amount withdrawn, with a minimum of €4.50 per withdrawal. If your withdrawal is in a currency other than the euro, you will also be charged an additional exchange rate surcharge of 2.00% per withdrawal.
