Need a little extra spending room for a purchase? You can easily increase your limit by adding funds to your credit card yourself.

Example:
Suppose your limit is €2,000.
You want to book an online trip that costs €3,000.
Simply add €1,000 to your card, and you can pay for the trip entirely with your credit card.

The easiest way to add extra funds is via your ING App—wherever you are. Think of situations like suddenly needing extra hotel nights or facing an unexpectedly high deposit for a rental car.

Is the available balance on your credit card higher than your limit? Then you have a positive balance.

For example:

Before your trip, you added €1,000 to your credit card just to be safe—but you didn’t use it.
You returned an online purchase of €100, and the webshop refunded the amount to your credit card.

Example with the €100 refund:
Suppose your limit is €2,000 and you haven’t used your credit card this month.
After the €100 refund, your ING App will show ‘Available’ as €2,100. In Mijn ING, you’ll find this under ‘Remaining to spend’.
Your positive balance is €100. You can transfer this back to your ING current account immediately.
