It is an agreement made by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Countries agree to exchange information about foreign bank accounts. The goal is to prevent tax evasion. As a bank, we have a role in CRS. We must know in which country or countries our customers are tax residents. This is called your country of tax residence. You will be asked about this if you:</p><ul><li>Open a payment, savings, or investment account with ING</li><li>Change your personal details, such as moving abroad</li></ul><p>Is this also relevant for your child(ren)? Then we need this information for them too.</p><p><strong>What happens with your data?</strong></p><p>If you say that you pay taxes in a country other than the Netherlands, we must report this to the Dutch Tax Authority. They will then send your information to the tax authority of that other country.</p><p><strong>Report changes to us</strong></p><p>Has your personal situation changed? For example, if you move abroad, your country of tax residence may also change. You can respond directly there.</p><p>You can also click the link at the top of this page to do it online.</p><p><strong>By post or email</strong></p><p>Can’t report your details online? Then you can use the CRS Self-Certification form available on this page.</p><ol><li>Download the pdf.</li><li>Complete the questionnaire – either digitally or by hand.</li><li>Send the completed questionnaire to us by post or e-mail.</li></ol><p>We also need to record the tax residence of children, even if they don’t pay taxes yet.
