We’ve listed the options for you:</p><ul><li><strong>Make extra repayments (penalty-free).</strong> When you repay, your outstanding mortgage amount decreases in relation to the market value of your home. Did you know that in the 3 months before your new fixed interest period starts, you can repay an unlimited amount without extra costs? If you repay during this period, you may qualify for a lower interest rate than the one stated in the interest rate offer.</li><li><strong>Make your home more sustainable (e.g. improve the energy label).</strong> When you receive a new interest rate offer, the energy label is one of the factors used to determine your mortgage interest rate. Has your energy label improved? Please let us know. </li><li><strong>Provide a new, higher market value for your home.</strong> Has the value of your home increased compared to the last value we have on record? And do you have a mortgage without NHG or a variable interest rate? In that case, you may also qualify for a lower interest rate.
