As of 31 December 2012, you had built up a loyalty bonus of €4,000. The amount you could use was up to 1% of the principal, so that’s €2,000. The interest rate discount depended on your loyalty bonus amount and your chosen fixed-rate period. If, for example, you chose a 5-year fixed-rate period, you could get a 0.25% discount on your <a data-type=\"internal\" href=\"/en/personal/mortgage/current-mortgage-rates\">mortgage rate</a> for the first fixed-rate period. If you chose a 10-year fixed-rate period, you could get a 0.15% discount on your <a data-type=\"internal\" href=\"/en/personal/mortgage/current-mortgage-rates\">mortgage rate</a> for the first fixed-rate period.</span></span></span><br /><br /><span><span><span>Prior to 31 December 2020, you then had €2,000 left, which you could transfer to your children or grandchildren for their next move.
