Understanding and influencing your mortgage interest rate","richBody":{"value":"<p>From 1 July 2021, each combination of loan to value ratio, mortgage type and fixed interest rate period will have a specific interest rate: the product interest rate. Other interest components may apply on top of these product interest rates, depending on your personal choices. You will receive a 0.10% discount for a home with a registered energy label of A and a 0.15% discount for a home with a label of A+ or higher. Are you planning to make your home more sustainable in the near future? Then you may also be eligible for the Sustainability Discount. This allows you to view your mortgage interest rate proposal online anywhere and submit your choice for your new fixed-rate period.</p><p>Your mortgage interest rate proposal will include the following:</p><ul><li>The date on which your current fixed interest rate period expires.</li><li>A complete overview of all the fixed interest rate periods you can choose from.</li><li>Your corresponding mortgage interest rate for each period.</li><li>Are you saving through your mortgage? Read which situation applies to you.</li></ul><p><strong>Step 2: You choose a new interest rate and fixed-rate period.</strong><br />You can do this:</p><p>quickly and easily via My ING (your choice will be processed immediately).<br />or by returning the completed and signed selection form (only for customers without access to My ING).<br />Upon receipt, you will receive a confirmation and an overview of your new monthly payment.</p>"}},{"title":"Which interest rate and fixed interest rate period should you choose?","richBody":{"value":"<p><strong>Choose what you feel comfortable with</strong></p><p>You decide which interest rate and fixed-rate period you want. Take a good look at your income and expenditure.</p><ul><li>A short fixed-rate period often means a lower interest rate, but less certainty about your future monthly costs.</li><li>Would you like more certainty? Then you can opt for a longer fixed-interest period.
