The government has set up a subsidy scheme for investing in sustainable energy and energy-saving improvements (ISDE).
You may apply for multiple subsidies for the same house, but the main improvement category must be different in each case (glass insulation is an exception as of 2025. You can apply for a sunsidy twice within 24 months). In addition, you must own the home and live there yourself. You can find all the terms and conditions on the website of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). This is also where you apply for your subsidies.

The ISDE scheme covers roof insulation, cavity wall insulation, internal wall insulation with a false wall or insulation on the outside of the wall, floor or crawl space insulation and HR++ or triple glazing.
A fixed amount is available per square meter for each type of insulation improvement. There is a high and low amount. To qualify for the higher subsidy amount, you must have two or more improvement measures completed within one year. This could be two insulation improvement measures, or one insulation improvement combined with another type of measure:
If you carry out a single insulation improvement and have nothing else done, you qualify for the low subsidy amount. For monuments, more flexible conditions apply. Go to Milieu Centraal’s website for further explanation and all the details.
The subsidy scheme for insulation improvements is subject to terms and conditions. They are available on the website of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). You can also apply for the subsidy there.

That is why you get a so-called bonus if you choose biobased insulation materials. This amount is on top of the 'normal' amount.

The above amounts are offered subject to terms and conditions. If the heat pump has energy label A++, the subsidy amount will be lower.

Think of options like an exhaust fan with at least 2 sensors or a heat recovery unit (HRU). You’ll receive a one-time subsidy of €400 for ventilation, and you need to apply within 24 months after installing the insulation measure.

There is a separate subsidy scheme: the SVVE subsidy (subsidy scheme for sustainability for home owners' associations).
For example, you can get a subsidy for insulation measures, heat pumps, solar boilers and a central connection to a heat network. Also for energy advice and research (e.g. a flora and fauna study, ventilation study or asbestos study) subdidies are available.
There is also a bonus subsidy for bio-based insulation materials. And you can receive a subsidy for the construction of basic charging infrastructure for charging points on its own property.
