Switching from natural gas to renewable energy in your home is what living gas-free is all about. An existing home will need several adjustments to make this possible. You do not have to do everything at once, although you can if you prefer. Living without natural gas mainly requires using energy more efficiently and therefore using less of it. A logical, and often chosen, first step is to improve your insulation. Replacing an HR boiler with a heat pump or connecting to a heat network is usually the final step. The end result is a comfortable home with little or no CO2 emissions.

Think 35 to 55 degrees rather than 70 to 80 degrees. Your radiators need to be able to release enough heat at these lower temperatures. Do you have underfloor heating? That type of heating is already very suitable for low-temperature systems.
Tip: Try lowering your boiler to 50 degrees to see if your home still heats up comfortably.
