This brochure explains what’s involved in taking out a mortgage and the situations you may encounter. Sign your mortgage offer and submit it to your mortgage advisor</strong></p><p>If all your details are correct and you agree with the mortgage offer, sign it and submit it to your advisor within 2 weeks. Your ING Mortgage Advisor or intermediary will make sure the offer is sent to ING.</p><p><strong>3. Submit additional documents to your advisor</strong><br />If we haven’t yet received all the documents needed to finalise your mortgage, the additional required documents will be listed in your mortgage offer. You’ll find these under ‘Collecting and submitting information’. Make an appointment with your notary</strong><br />Once you’ve signed the mortgage offer, it remains valid for up to 12.5 months from the offer date. The transfer of your new home at the notary must therefore take place within 12.5 months after the mortgage offer is issued. In that case, you can extend the validity of your mortgage offer by up to 12 months. An extension fee applies. We explain how these costs are calculated in your mortgage offer.</p><p><strong>Your home: the transfer</strong><br />The notary arranges for you to become the owner of the home you’ve purchased. To do this, you’ll sign the deed of transfer at the notary. If you’re taking out a mortgage to buy your new home, the notary will also arrange for the mortgage deed to be signed.
