Previously, you could get a sustainability discount if your home had energy label A or better. We have now increased the weighting of the energy label and any energy label can now have an effect on your mortgage rate. This is called a provisional refund. A fixed-rate period can be anywhere between 1 and 20 years. </span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>In principle, your mortgage rate will remain unchanged throughout the entire fixed-rate period. </span></span></span></li></ul><p><span><span><span>With an improvement of your loan-to-value ratio (except for an NHG product interest rate), you may be able to lower your interest during the fixed-rate term. The new interest rate offered by ING may be lower or higher than your current rate. It’s then up to you to choose your new fixed-rate period with the corresponding interest rate.
