After that, you can end the loan in My ING.</p></li><li><p><strong>Keep the loan as it is</strong><br />You can also choose to keep the loan in place. In that case, the loan will remain in both of your names. We will continue to collect the monthly payment from the linked current account. As a result, this account cannot be closed or changed.</p></li><li><p><strong>Take over the loan</strong><br />One of you can take over the loan. You can arrange this in My ING via “Extra borrowing”. If we determine that the applicant can afford the loan financially, we will open a new loan and use it to repay the existing one. The joint loan will then be ended.</p></li><li><p><strong>Split the loan</strong><br />Would you like to split the loan? If so, please send us the information listed below and indicate the desired allocation of the outstanding debt as percentages. We need this information to assess whether the loan can be split. If the split is approved, we will open a new Personal Loan for each of you. These new loans will be used to repay and close the existing loan.</p><p>Please send an email to <strong>lenen@ing.nl</strong> with your request to split the loan. Always include a copy of the divorce settlement agreement as an attachment.
