Then you may be eligible for compensation. The variable interest rate on these loans did not always move in line with the market rate. We are correcting this by compensating former ING customers who contact us and who have paid too much interest.\r\n\r\nFormer customers who had a Revolving Credit, Credit Card with Instalment Payments, Continuous Credit Limit or an overdraft product can register via ing.nl/oudklanten.\r\n\r\nWe aim to fully compensate all customers and former customers who are eligible by the end of 2025 at the latest. If the compensation amount for a contract is €50 or more, you will receive a compensation proposal for that contract, which must be signed.\r\n\r\nING has decided to expand the compensation scheme and will now also reimburse overpaid variable interest below €50. This decision follows rulings by Kifid’s Disputes Committee on 4 November 2024, concerning other financial service providers. The Disputes Committee sees no reason to maintain a minimum compensation amount. ING has taken these rulings into account. As a result, the €50 threshold has been removed.\r\n\r\nFor compensation amounts below €50, no signature is needed.
