Therefore, it is generally locked in until your retirement age. Early withdrawal is possible but subject to rules and tax consequences.</p><p>If you want to withdraw your pension as a lump sum, you must redeem it. You will then pay income tax plus an additional charge of up to 20% (revision interest) on this payout amount. An exception applies if you retire early or on disability, where no revision interest is charged on your payout up to a limit set by the Dutch Tax Authorities.</p><p>If you choose to receive your pension investments before your AOW pension age, you must spread the payouts over a longer period. For example, if you start receiving payouts at 60 and your AOW pension age is 67, your payments must continue until at least 72.</p><p>If you have accumulated additional pension before 2013 and have not contributed to this account since then, you may be able to start receiving payouts before your AOW pension age.</p>"}},{"title":"What is the maximum amount I can contribute to pension investing?","richBody":{"value":"<p>The amount you can contribute annually to pension investing depends on your available fiscal allowance (in Dutch: jaarruimte).
