This must usually be paid within 9 to 10 months after your death. For a home, the tax authorities use the property’s WOZ value to calculate the inheritance tax.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Another option is to transfer your home during your lifetime. Is this beneficial? When you transfer your home during your lifetime, the home moves from tax box 1 to tax box 3.
