With the Medical Expenses and Accidents module, you are insured for medical costs that are not covered by your basic or supplementary health insurance (or any other insurance, provision, or scheme).</p>"}},{"componentType":"paragraph","title":"What should you do if you incur medical expenses while traveling?","richBody":{"value":"<p>If you need medical care during your trip, follow these steps to ensure proper handling through your <a data-type=\"internal\" href=\"/particulier/verzekeren/reisverzekering\">travel insurance</a> (in Dutch): </p><ul><li>In case of hospitalization abroad, contact the Emergency Center immediately.</li><li>Report the claim as soon as possible. However, healthcare abroad is often more expensive. To cover this, you can take out the Medical Expenses and Accidents module. These additional costs may also be reimbursed through your supplementary health insurance. Be sure to check in advance whether you have supplementary coverage and whether these costs are included.</p>"}},{"componentType":"paragraph","title":"Does Travel Insurance cover dental costs abroad?","richBody":{"value":"<p>Dental costs resulting from an accident abroad are covered if the treating dentist determines that the treatment cannot be postponed until after your return to the Netherlands.
