Any damage to your luggage caused by theft, loss or accidents from the moment you leave for your holiday destination. Like when you drop your camera during your holiday, for instance.
When you take out insurance, you select an excess of €0, €50 or €100, which will be deducted from any compensation. If the claim is less than your excess, you won't receive any compensation. What's more, different maximal covers apply – please see your policy.
Not covered
Any damage to your luggage that occurs during a day trip or a stay at an annual or seasonal pitch in the Netherlands. Your cover also doesn't apply if you're careless with your belongings or if damage occurs during the participation of extreme sports.

Trip rebooking or cancellation expenses if you're unexpectedly unable to travel. Like when a family member passes away or becomes critically ill. You'll find the full list of covered events in the policy terms and conditions.

Medical expenses incurred due to an accident or illness during your journey or up to twelve months after, as long as you were first treated during your trip.
Please note: First make a health insurance claim. Then make a claim with us for any damage that your health insurance doesn't cover. We also cover your health insurance excess.
Not covered
What's covered by your travel insurance
Additional transport and/or accommodation expenses incurred because of delayed flights due to extreme weather or strikes.
What's covered by your cancellation insurance
Part of the travel costs if your outbound flight was delayed by more than 8 hours.
Not covered
Expenses incurred when your flight is delayed for a different reason, like mechanical malfunctions or excessive air traffic. Please contact the airline to see if they are able to cover the damages.

If your luggage is more than 8 hours late to your destination during your outbound journey, you're entitled to a €100 compensation per insured person for new clothes and toiletries.
Please note: Always make a delayed luggage claim with the airline. You'll then receive a PIR report. If the damage is over €100, you can claim compensation with the airline responsible.
