Normally, about 2 liters of water per day is enough. During very high temperatures, you can add at least a liter. Your body loses a lot of fluid with these temperatures, so it&apos;s important to avoid dehydration. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Tranquilo! A siesta exists for a reason. Plan just a little less than you would like, or plan it at times when it is not so hot yet. Especially if you have just gained weight, your body will have to get used to the temperature difference. At the same time, a great excuse to really rest during your holiday. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Also, don&apos;t go to places where you&apos;re not sure if there&apos;s enough shade. If necessary, wait a few days with that planned long walk, and go to a beautiful city instead. There is guaranteed a lot of shade (many cities are even built on it) and you can look for the air conditioning every now and then. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Wear airy clothing, for example made of linen. Sometimes it is even better to choose long sleeves or legs. Long linen pants are better than short jeans, for example. Also see if you can score a hat or a cap, your head will be happy with that! </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Keep eating enough. At high temperatures, your appetite disappears quickly. Still, it is important to keep eating. Preferably eat several light meals in a day. Eat enough salt too! Your body loses a lot of salt through sweating, so it&apos;s good to keep it up. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Watch out with fire! A simple cigarette can cause a large forest fire.
