In that case, Nationale-Nederlanden is the insurer and the collector. ING is your mediator and permanent point of contact.</span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span>For the new insurances offered by ING in power of attorney, NationaleNederlanden is still the insurer, but ING collects the premium on their behalf.</span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span>You can recognise the difference by your policy number: if the policy number starts with a letter, the insurance is taken out in power of attorney and ING collects the premium. For example, because your balance is too low or because we do not have your good bank account number. You will receive a payment reminder. Does your policy begin with a letter? </span></span></span></p><p><span lang=\"EN-US\" dir=\"ltr\"><span><span>Please contact us. </span></span></span></p><p> </p><p><strong>1. Payment reminder</strong></p><p>If you haven’t paid your premium on time, you will receive a payment reminder. In this reminder, Nationale-Nederlanden asks you to pay the premium within 14 days. Use the bank account number provided in the confirmation letter and include your policy number as the payment reference.</p><p>Would you like Nationale-Nederlanden to use a different bank account number for future premium withdrawals? Then please contact ING Customer Service by phone.</p><p><strong>2. First warning</strong></p><p>If you haven’t paid the premium after the reminder, Nationale-Nederlanden will send you a first warning. You will then have 21 days to transfer the premium to Nationale-Nederlanden.</p><p><strong>Important:</strong> If you don’t pay the premium on time after the first warning, Nationale-Nederlanden will suspend your coverage. This means you will no longer be entitled to compensation or assistance.</p><p><strong>3. Second warning: your coverage is suspended</strong></p><p>If you still haven’t paid the premium within 21 days after the first warning, you can no longer make any claims under your insurance. This means, for example, that damages will no longer be reimbursed. You will also be personally responsible for any damage you cause to others. This can be especially costly in the case of personal injury.</p><p><strong>Note:</strong> Do you have car insurance? Then your license plate will be deregistered with the RDW, and you are no longer allowed to drive your car. The RDW checks daily whether vehicles are insured. If your vehicle is uninsured for more than two days, you will receive a fine from the RDW. The Central Judicial Collection Agency (CJIB) will send this fine.</p><p><strong>Important:</strong> You have 21 days to make the payment. If you don’t pay on time, your insurance will be terminated. If the outstanding amount was more than €250, Nationale-Nederlanden will also register your details and the reason for termination with the Central Information System Foundation (CIS). Insurers in the Netherlands use this information when assessing new insurance applications. This may negatively affect your ability to take out new insurance.</p><p>Would you like Nationale-Nederlanden to use a different bank account number for future premium withdrawals? Then please contact ING Customer Service by phone.</p><p>You will be insured again 24 hours after Nationale-Nederlanden has received all outstanding premium payments. So make sure to pay as soon as possible.</p><p><strong>Important to know:</strong> Your insurance cannot be reinstated retroactively.</p><p><strong>4. Your insurance will be terminated</strong></p><p>If you still haven’t paid your premium after the second warning, Nationale-Nederlanden will terminate your insurance. If the outstanding amount was more than €250, your details and the reason for termination will be registered with the CIS. Insurers use this information when assessing new insurance applications.
