Have you booked a trip and want to include cancellation coverage? Or do you want to change the number of insured persons? Sometimes, it's necessary to adjust your travel insurance to ensure you're properly covered during your trip.
You can do this via Mijn ING or the ING app. Click on your travel insurance in your product overview and select “Change insurance” at the top of your screen. You’ll then be automatically directed to the environment where you can make changes yourself. You’ll receive a confirmation of your change immediately, and your updated insurance will appear in your product overview. Easy as that!

This module covers the risk of having to cancel or cut short your trip due to unforeseen events—such as serious illness, accident, or death of yourself, a family member, or housemate. You’re also covered if a close friend passes away. Additionally, you're insured for involuntary unemployment that was unforeseeable when booking the trip.
Note: Cancellation coverage must be added within 14 days of booking your trip.

ING acts as an intermediary for this insurance and is your trusted point of contact. Through ING, you can take out, view, change, and cancel the insurance. You can also report a claim to Nationale-Nederlanden via the ING app or Mijn ING. Nationale-Nederlanden is the insurer that offers this insurance under the ING brand, exclusively for ING customers. Nationale-Nederlanden collects your premium and pays out any applicable claims. ING receives an ongoing commission for mediating this insurance in the form of a fixed percentage of the premium.
