This means it cannot be traced back to you personally. Zorgweb only uses this data to give a benefits indication.</p>"}},{"title":"Which benefits are there?","richBody":{"value":"<p>There are four national benefits:</p><ul><li>Healthcare benefit: Helps to cover the cost of your health insurance.</li><li>Rent benefit: A contribution towards your monthly rent.</li><li>Child budget benefit: Supports you with the expenses for your children.</li><li>Childcare benefit: Helps to pay for daycare.</li></ul><p>The amount you receive depends on several factors, such as your income, who you live with, and (in the case of rent benefit) how high your rent is. The rules vary depending on the type of benefit.</p><p>You can apply for these four benefits through the Tax Administration (Belastingdienst). They will also pay out the benefit.</p>"},"alignedImage":{"position":"left"}},{"title":"What are municipal arrangements?","richBody":{"value":"<p>Your municipality often offers additional support if your income is not too high.<br />Examples include a city pass, sports fund, or school fee schemes.</p><p>You can always apply for municipal arrangements through your own municipality. Can I apply for benefits?","richBody":{"value":"<p>You can apply for benefits as long as your income isn’t too high. However, you’ll need to report your expected annual income when applying. If your income varies a lot, this can be tricky, and stressful,  because you don’t yet know what your total income will be. And no one wants to end up having to pay money back.</p><p>Does this apply to you? Here’s what you can do:</p><ul><li>Estimate your income slightly higher than you expect. This reduces the risk of having to repay benefits later if you earn more than anticipated. You can make a trial calculation on the Tax Administration website.</li><li>Can you manage without benefits for now? Then you could wait and apply retroactively next year. This is possible until September 1st of the following year. For example: If your income changes in 2026, wait until early 2027. By then, you’ll know your exact income for 2026 and can apply for benefits for that year.</li></ul>"}},{"title":"Applying for benefits retroactively. How does that work?","richBody":{"value":"<p>Retroactive application is possible, if you were entitled to the benefit.<br />Many people don’t apply for benefits because their income varies. For example, if you&apos;re a flex worker, self-employed, or temporarily unemployed, it can be hard to know what you&apos;re entitled to. And that uncertainty can be stressful: no one wants to end up having to pay money back.</p><p>The solution? Wait until the end of the year to apply. By then, you’ll know exactly what you earned and can still apply retroactively.
