1. Log in on your ING App
2. Go to your Current Account and click on the blue button 'Look Ahead'
3. Read the information and click on 'Turn on Look Ahead'.
That's all! You can now use Look Ahead. Stopping is also very easy. You can switch it off in the Settings in the tab 'Service'.
And of course you can also use Look Ahead in My ING.

That’s what we call getting a grip on your money!
Look Ahead shows you which direct debits and recurring deposits are expected.
These are partially predictions. For example, you pay your energy supplier €150 by direct debit the past months. As a result, Look Ahead will predict the same amount for upcoming month as well. The same holds for the monthly costs of your insurances or gym subscription. Recurring income is also predicted.
All the above-mentioned amounts are predicted based on transactions in the past. When an amount has recently changed, the prediction will still be based on past transactions.
In addition, Look Ahead also shows planned payments and orders. These are transactions that you’ve planned yourself (e.g. transfer to your savingsaccount) as well as the collection of your ING Credit Card.
The buttons at the top of your screen in the Look Ahead feature help you navigate across these different types of predicted transactions. You can see the predicted amounts, the standard orders or both.

We work hard to gradually improve the feature and show more recurring expenses in the overview. However, we‘ll never be able to give you a complete overview of all upcoming transactions. A lot of expenses are not stable across months and consequently hard to predict. For example, the amount you spend on groceries, shopping or restaurant dining.
"}},{"title":"Why does Look Ahead sometimes show wrong amounts?","richBody":{"value":"Sometimes amounts are hard to predict. For example, when your health insurer collects healthcare costs that fall under your deductible.
These amounts are often different — and on top of your regular monthly premium.
In situations like this, it may take a little while before Look Ahead can accurately predict your health‑insurance direct debit again.
When you activate Look Ahead, you give permission to show your future (recurring) direct debits and income. For the predictions we use the previous transactions made on your payment account and ING Credit Card.
Predicting future (recurring) direct debits and income is fully automated. It is shown to you without a person involved and the predicted transactions are only used for the purpose of Look Ahead.
