The emission factor differs per category. The emission factors are supplied and continuously updated by Cogo.
Important: The calculation of your personal CO₂ emissions takes place within ING’s secure and closed environment. We do not store this data.

It absorbs heat, keeping Earth’s temperature stable and comfortable. The burning of fossil fuels increases the amount of CO2, which leads to rising temperatures and climate change.

"},"title":"What can I compare 1 kilogram of CO2e with?"},{"richBody":{"value":"Yes. 1kg of Methane (CH4) has around 29 times more impact on global warming than 1kg of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) over a 100-year time period. Another greenhouse gas, Nitrous Oxide (N2O) (1kg) has almost 273 times more impact than 1kg of Carbon Dioxide (CO2), but is emitted at lower levels. These differences are taken into account when converting the various greenhouse gases into CO2e.
