.. who wouldn't want that? With Budgets, you can easily set your own limits for the spending categories you consider important. Whether it's shopping, groceries, or dining out.
To use Budgets, we’ll need your permission to sort your spending into categories.
Haven’t done that yet? No problem, we’ll ask you first. Once you give permission, your transactions will be sorted automatically. No humans involved.Your transactions are only used to give you a clear overview per category.
We link your transactions to a spending category.
For example: if you pay €25 for lunch with your debit card, that payment goes under ‘Restaurants & Bars’. This is done automatically by a computer, but only if you’ve given us permission.
Set a budget for ‘Restaurants & Bars’? Then that lunch will reduce your available budget.
Say you’ve set a €150 budget after lunch, you’ll have €125 left. If your remaining budget drops to €30 or less, we’ll send you a heads-up.
You can easily adjust your monthly budget in the ING app. Been spending less than expected for a few months? That might be a good moment to tighten things up. Spending more than planned? Click the category in the app to see which transactions are included. Something not right? You can move it to the correct category in just a few Clicks.
