iDIN is an online identification service developed jointly by the banks. If you use My ING or the ING app as a personal customer and see the iDIN logo on a website, you can use iDIN to prove your identity and log in. Easy, safe and trusted!
When you use iDIN, you’ll prove your identity by sending data via My ING or the ING app. You’ll always see and confirm what information you’re sending. Organisations can request several types of information with iDIN, including:
If you’ve sent data to a website with iDIN before, the organisation can choose to have you log in with iDIN next time without asking for all your details again. Easy and safe using My ING or the ING app. No other bank data will be sent, nor will ING receive any data from the organisation.

You select ‘ING’ from the list of banks on the website of the organisation.
The organisation may ask you to use iDIN to prove your identity, log in, confirm your age or sign a document.
Proving your identity
When proving your identity, you’ll see a list of details that you can share with the chosen organisation. If you wish, you can change your telephone number and email address before sending. You’ll confirm with your five-digit mobile PIN for My ING or the ING app. After that, you’ll automatically return to the organisation’s website.
Logging in
If you’ve created an account at an organisation with iDIN before, the organisation can choose to have you log in with iDIN next time without asking for all your details again. You’ll always confirm your login with the method you use to log in to My ING or the ING app. When you log in, no other bank data will be sent, nor will ING receive any data from the organisation.
Confirming your age
You can also use iDIN to confirm your age, for example if buying something that requires you to show that you are of legal age.
Signing documents
You can use iDIN to place your digital signature, such as for authorising a direct debit. Here too, you’ll confirm your digital signature with the method you use to log in to My ING or the ING app.
Good to know: We can't see what you do on a website, nor does the website get access to your bank details. Before sending, always carefully read how the organisation handles personal data.
