If you start giving a clothing budget, you can agree on the amount together with your child. For example, by making a budget together.</p>"}},{"componentType":"sectionTitle","title":"Agreements about clothing money"},{"componentType":"paragraph","richBody":{"value":"<p>Make clear agreements with your child. Consider:</p><ul><li>When will the clothing budget be paid out? Start with once a month. This is a clear period for children and offers room to make mistakes.</li><li>Set a fixed time so that your child can budget specifically.</li><li>How do you give the clothing money? Cash? Or in a bank account? In the latter case, you also teach your children how to use, for example, a debit card and a current account. With an account, you as a parent also have direct insight into your child&apos;s purchasing behaviour.</li><li>Do you want your child to save part of the clothing budget for more expensive or unexpected purchases?</li><li>Is your child allowed to use post-payment when buying clothes online? This is not recommended for children under the age of 18.</li><li>When do you discuss with your child how things are going?
