They can do that in the ING App. Both you and your child will receive a message about this after opening the account.</li><li>There is no overdraft possibility on the Youth current account.</li><li>Once your child turns 18, we will automatically change the Youth current account to a Student current account.</li><li>Bear in mind that the balance of the Youth current account may have to be included in the calculation of the assets that the parents have to declare in Box 3 of their tax return. For more information, check the website of the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. </li><li>Your credit balance in this account is legally protected by the <a href=\"https://www.dnb.nl/en/reliable-financial-sector/dutch-deposit-guarantee/\">Dutch Deposit Guarantee</a>, from 1 cent to €100,000.<a data-type=\"internal\" href=\"/particulier/sparen/depositogarantiestelsel\"> This protection of your money</a> applies per bank and per person.</li><li>The Youth current account has a variable rate of interest that can be positive, zero or negative.
