Delete Apple Pay
You can delete the debit card from Apple Wallet at any time.
The debit card has been permanently removed from your wallet. The transaction history is no longer visible in the wallet after deletion. You can reactivate your debit card for Apple Pay at any time.
Note: Removing a debit card in the wallet on your phone will not remove it on your Apple Watch. A debit card must be deleted separately in the wallet on your Apple Watch.

To use Touch ID for a payment, you’ll first need to set up Touch ID on your device. Just go to the settings on your iPhone or iPad. Not all models have Touch ID.

How does the verification code for Apple Pay work?
You’ll receive a verification code when you try to add a new card to your Apple Wallet. You’ll receive this code on the telephone number that you’ve provided to ING.
Do I need an internet connection to make a payment with Apple Pay?
You do not need an internet connection to make a payment with the debit card that you’ve added to Apple Pay. However, if you’ve added a card to Apple Wallet by using the mobile banking app, then you will need an internet connection.
How do I activate Apple Pay on a new phone?
You can use Quick Start to set up your new iPhone or iPad automatically. Make sure that you place the SIM card in your new phone first. The ING cards which you want to add to Apple Pay, you must validate these within the ING App, after you finalised the quick start of your new phone and the activation of the ING App on your new device.
You can activate mobile payments a maximum of twice a day or a maximum of three times every 30 days. This limit applies per combination of debit card and mobile phone/device.
After reaching this limit, you’ll see an error message during the activation process: ‘Card device limit’. Depending on how many times you’ve activated mobile payments, you can try again later. Or use a different phone or select a different debit card.

You can activate one card per IBAN. How do I choose which card to pay with?
Before approving the payment, tap the picture of the card that you want to use. It will now appear in front of your other cards. You can change the default mobile card in the phone settings and in the Wallet & Apple Pay setting where you’ll scroll down to Transaction Defaults and set your default card. For your watch, you can change the default debit card on your watch or in the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. On the Mac, go to System Preferences and select Wallet & Apple Pay. When you did block your VISA Debit or Debit Mastercard, you cannot use that card anymore to pay with Apple Pay. After unblocking your (plastic) card, mobile payments with Apple Pay will be available again.

How can I confirm a payment with my Apple Watch?
If you want to activate your debit- or creditcard for mobile payments directly from Apple Wallet, verification in the ING App is always required.
With the Quick Start feature, you can automatically set up your new iPhone or iPad. Make sure to insert the SIM card into your new device beforehand.
The ING debit cards you want to add to Apple Pay must always be verified in the ING App. You can only do this after you have started your new phone and activated the ING App on it.
Steps to verify your card in the ING App:
Check the status of your card. If your Visa or Mastercard debit card is blocked, it will not appear in the list of cards.
Unblock your card. After that, it will reappear in the list and you can activate it for Apple Pay.
