It makes switching to another bank easier and ensures that all your payments continue smoothly.</p><ul><li>You can use the switch service if you want to transfer your payment account to a new or existing account at another bank.</li><li>The switch service can only be requested if both the old and the new account are Dutch payment accounts from participating banks. This service is not available for foreign accounts.</li><li>The switch service lasts for 13 months and then ends automatically. After that, incoming and outgoing payments on your old account will no longer be forwarded to your ING account.</li><li>The account must not already be in the process of being closed when the switch service is requested.</li></ul><p> </p>"}},{"componentType":"sectionTitle","title":"What do we do for you?"},{"componentType":"paragraph","richBody":{"value":"<p> </p><ul><li>We contact your old bank to arrange the start date of the switch service. This date will be between two weeks and three months after your request.</li><li>Do you pay invoices via direct debit? We’ll inform those companies of your new account number—so you don’t have to worry about it.</li><li>For 13 months, we’ll forward all incoming and outgoing payments from your old account to your (new) Business Account at ING.</li><li>We’ll add the label &apos;IVSB&apos; followed by the BIC code of the old bank to any transactions still processed through your old account. This way, you can easily see in the ING App, in My ING, or on your paper statements who still needs to update your account number.</li><li>The switch service may affect other products you have with your old bank, such as a direct debit or PIN contract. Your bank can inform you about this.</li></ul><p> </p>"}},{"componentType":"sectionTitle","title":"When am I eligible for the switch service?"},{"componentType":"paragraph","richBody":{"value":"<ul><li>Both your old and new accounts must be business payment accounts in euros.</li><li>Neither your old nor your new account may be a G-account (blocked account for tax purposes).</li><li>Your old and new accounts must not be linked to complex business products or services.</li><li>The name on your old business account must also be the name on the new business account (or the new name must be part of the old name) and must be registered under the same Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number.</li></ul><p>If your old account is a business account and your new account is a personal account (or vice versa), you can only use the switch service if:</p><ul><li>Both accounts are used solely for personal purposes.</li><li>All account holders are natural persons who are individually authorized.</li></ul><p>The switch service may affect other products you have with your old bank, such as a direct debit or PIN contract. Set them up again in the ING App or in My ING. You’ll receive an overview of the standing orders your old bank has cancelled. Then make sure to close it yourself—we’re not allowed to do that for you. You can close your old account starting from the first business day after the switch service has started.
