For Wero payments in the Netherlands, purchase protection will not be available immediately from 26 October 2026. Dutch banks and payment service providers will introduce it at a later stage, with the objective of achieving full coverage planned by 1 January 2028.
Once purchase protection applies, customers may report a problem with an order for certain purchases. This may affect how a refund or payment dispute is handled. ING will inform you in advance about how purchase protection works, your responsibilities and any action you need to take.
